Customer Field Representative (m/f), Surat in Surat, Gujarat

Your tasks:
- Walk or drive vehicles along established routes to take readings of meter dials
- Collect past-due bills
- Connect and disconnect utility services at specific locations
- Upload into office computers all information collected on hand-held computers during meter rounds, or return routebooks or hand-hand computers to business offices so that data can be compiled
- Leave messages to arrange different times to read meters in cases in which meters are not accessible
- Read electric, gas, water, or steam consumption meters and enter data in route books or hand-held computers
- Reportlost or broken keys
- Update client address and meter location information
- Report to service departments any problems such as meter irregularities, damaged equipment, or impediments to meter access, including dogs
- Answer customers' questions about services and charges, or direct them to customerservice centers
- Inspect meters for unauthorized connections, defects, and damage such as broken seals

- Performing routine maintenance on equipment and determining when and what kind of maintenance is needed
- Motivating, developing, and directing people as they work, identifying the best people for the job
- Managing one's own time and the time of others
- Determining how money will be spent to get the work done, and accounting for these expenditures
- Considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one
- Determining causes ofoperating errors and deciding what to do about it
- Watching gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly
